Barrique Ltd Head Office is situated in Gross Loebke, a small village near Hannover in Northern Germany. Extensive copyrights protect it in Germany and abroad. It is the registered office for the trademarks Barrique; Barrique The Famous Art of Spirit; Keg (spirits; vinegars, oils; wine and lose products in Kegs), as well as Bendix (designer edition bottles and bottle stops). In addition copyrights are held for many of its products such as Etrusco; Figurino, Parsifal; Korken..
Use of these trademarks is fully available to Barrique contract partners and the concept and know-how are fully communicated and explained.
The Barrique Head Office takes care of central purchasing. This enables Barrique contract partners to take advantage of an economically-priced product range and to take care of their purchasing needs in the most time effective manner.
Head Office offers a logistically finely tuned system, ensuring that top quality products easily reach consumers. This includes an own customs and excise authorised warehouse for the storage of goods that are subject to duty and that can hold large quantities of goods. Goods are distributed from there without further stops to contract partners.
For this Barrique own its own fleet of five lorries, which normally cover all regions of Germany on a weekly basis.
This not only enables contract partners to react quickly and flexibly to market needs, but also provides them directly with a useful company contact partner and direct communication channels.
Available at Head Office is also a system of sophisticated and extensive machinery and plants for the packaging and bottling of goods. This again is essential for the delivery of the highest quality products to the consumer, as quality control can be exercised immediately upon receipt of all goods and prior to packaging. Needless to say , once bottled, the best a retailer could hope for normally would be the odd spot check for quality control, which could never compete with the level of consistency that is available through the Barrique system.
With the contract partnerxs interest in mind a quality assurance system was devised to ensure guaranteed substitution of products on sale in a Barrique shop.
Experienced and trained Head Office staff are available to advise contract partners in situ and assist them to provide consistently high quality goods and attractive presentation at all times.
Head Office takes care of marketing and makes available promotional material to contract partners at cost.
Advice on issues concerning financial management are given, as well as on-going training.
Contract partners are supported with their search for a suitable retail outlet and suggested sites are carefully analysed for suitability through the use of proven formulas, as well as 22 years of entrepreneurial experience in retail.
For these services Head Office receive a regular fee, which is dependant upon turnover.
The main objective of the Head Office function is to achieve trust from its customers through:
This trust is what ensures long-term joint success in the marketplace, as only a kept promise creates loyal customers long-term.
Central purchasing enables competitive pricing and financial success for our contract partners.
We aim to write black figures only!
Another important aspect of our entrepreneurial philosophy lies in the close cooperation with our contract partners and in the true sense of partnership we aim to create.
Only through on-going dialogue can Barrique keep its finger on the pulse and react to changing consumer needs effectively.
For this purpose regular meetings and seminars take place as a platform for an exchange of know-how, sharing of experience and a continuous evolution of the product. Only through a united approach is it possible to enjoy success in the marketplace.
Prior to opening a shop , contract partners receive comprehensive training and advice. Right from the first meeting, interested parties are made aware of the content of contract and encouraged to seek independent legal advice.
The Barrique system is based on fair principles and the following motto: As much freedom as possible, as few constraints as needed.
Partnerships need fair rules. And of course even the best entrepreneurial partnership must be contractually safeguarded. The contract ensures rights and obligations are clearly spelt out for both sides.
The franchisor will provide contract partners with the following:
Besides much else. Franchisees carry responsibility for their management and their achieved results. Contract partners are of course consider self-employed from a legal and fiscal point-of-view and enjoy much of the decision making freedom associated with this status.
Franchisees employ their own staff, instruct their own accountant and take care of bookkeeping. themselves. Barrique will interpret results and assist with advice whenever needed.
Not only are franchisees permitted to make use of Head Office services but in certain cases he is even obliged to do so contractually. Franchisees have the right, as well as the duty to use Barriques know-how and benefit from it. With this in mind, franchisees are, for example, obliged to participate in the regular training sessions that take place at Head Office.
There are so many different types of franchise contracts variations and possibilities are limitless. We therefore urge interested parties to seek independent advice prior to entering into a commitment.
Many such contracts contain clauses governing the commitment to only purchase the franchisors products. A Barrique franchise contract also includes such a clause, however, it still provides its franchisees with a possibility to make up 20% of their turnover from the sale of non-Barrique products of their choosing.
Besides that, Barrique franchisees enjoy the freedom to create their personal product range of Barrique label products that can be changed at any time. The complete Barrique range is very substantial indeed, but Barrique stipulate that franchisees carry a small number of products from a mandatory list of major product groups, but within these, products may be chosen to suit individual preferences and needs.
As many constraints as needed as much freedom as possible.
But once again we would like to stress the following:
More important than contractual regulations is trust.
A Barrique shop coupled with full personal commitment, ambition to succeed, supported by the Barrique Head Office and a network of fellow franchisees will be your ticket to success.
